Why this exists

About Today’s Worker

Today’s Worker is a practical school and workbench for people learning to finish valuable work with AI.

The challenge is familiar: an impressive first draft, a collection of disconnected prompts, and too much work left to check. We want to make the next step clearer.

Two surfaces, one purpose

The Field Guide explains useful ideas and their limits. The Workbench turns them into portable instructions and tools. The Journal supplies the firsthand record when real work supports it.

Who is behind it

Today’s Worker is Troy Van Maanen’s product brand. His ongoing marketing work through Vanmaan Marketing is the initial source of practical questions and appropriate evidence. The consulting business and its client permissions remain separate.

What we value

Human judgment, attention, learning, and craft belong in the process. More automation should help a person finish something worthwhile without turning every saved minute into another obligation.

We explain which claims come from research, which examples are hypothetical, and which methods have actually been tested. Read our editorial standards for the details.
