Observe real work
Journal
The interesting part is often what changed between the first recommendation and useful work.
Troy Van Maanen’s ongoing work through Vanmaan Marketing is the starting point for this Journal. An entry belongs here when there is a real task, a documented decision, and something specific to learn.
What an entry will show
- The job, the constraints, and what counted as done.
- What AI recommended and what Troy changed, with the reason.
- The effort involved in setup, review, execution and rework.
- The business result over a stated window, or why it remains unknown.
- The instruction or quality check worth testing next time.
No firsthand case has been published in this Journal yet. The initial patient-zero draft describes intentions; it is not evidence of measured improvement.
Client work has its own boundaries
Vanmaan Marketing is a separate consulting business. Access to a client record does not grant permission to publish it here. We use appropriate, permissioned evidence and keep private details out of public examples.
While the Journal develops, you can use the free instruction builder or read the Field Guide.
